My Sermon

I'm working on my sermon which I'll preach on Wednesday in my preaching class.  The passage is 2 Corinthians 4:16-18,

"Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

Give me a few thoughts about these verses.  These are some of my favorite verses in Paul's writings.  I'll post my outline a little bit later.

When situations are viewed from the perspective of eternity they often shrink in their "seriousness" & we can see that there is always hope!!I'll be praying for you as you finish up this sermon & present it on Wed....GOD bless you real good!!!KJB

only He can give us the next breath, step or whatever it takes to get us through the day no matter what is going on...when things are taking forever, when unjust things happen and you don't have the power to "right" them, when you feel forgotten...but somewhere beneath the feelings that come with those circumstances, you still have hope. you feel like crap, but you still have hope. that's Him.

Luke's PaPa said,
The first five words of that verse should always be with you.
Therefore do not lose heart and you will always be blessed.
Your sermon will be great!
